Licensed Professional Counselor | Board-Certified Art Therapist

Suzie Kim is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Board-Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC) who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, authenticity, and evidence-based care. She believes that healing begins within a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel truly seen, heard, and empowered to create meaningful change.

Suzie works with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), grief, self-harm, anger, relationship and interpersonal concerns, and life transitions. She also has specialized experience supporting women's mental health across the lifespan, including infertility, pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, and perimenopausal and menopausal mental health.

Her therapeutic approach is collaborative and tailored to each client's unique needs. Suzie integrates a variety of evidence-based modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and Art Therapy. Whether clients prefer traditional talk therapy, creative expression, or a combination of approaches, she works alongside them to build emotional resilience, strengthen coping skills, improve relationships, and foster lasting well-being.

In addition to providing individual psychotherapy, Suzie has extensive experience facilitating therapeutic groups and higher levels of care, including Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). She also founded and developed Art for the Heart, an outpatient art therapy group designed to make creative healing more accessible and engaging.

Suzie is known for her warm, empathetic style and her ability to build genuine therapeutic connections. She strives to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, develop greater self-understanding, and move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with their values.
