Nayda Thompson M.S.W., L.S.W.

Hi, I’m Nayda—a Navy Veteran and bilingual therapist who helps people slow things down, make sense of what they’re carrying, and learn how to actually feel like themselves again.

A lot of the people I work with are used to pushing through. On the outside, they’re showing up, getting things done, and taking care of everyone else—but internally, they’re dealing with anxiety, emotional overload, irritability, or feeling disconnected from themselves and others.

You might be tired of reacting in ways you don’t fully understand, or feeling like you’re always “on edge” but don’t know how to turn it off.

I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. I also have a strong connection to veterans and first responders—people who are used to staying in control, staying alert, and carrying more than they talk about.

In our work, we focus on building awareness of your patterns, understanding your emotional responses, and developing tools that help you respond with intention instead of reacting from stress, survival mode, or past experiences.

My approach is relational, real, and grounded. You don’t have to filter yourself here.

I integrate evidence-based strategies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while also focusing on emotional regulation, nervous system awareness, and helping you feel more steady in your day-to-day life.

This is a space where you can be honest, unpack what’s been weighing on you, and start showing up differently—not just in therapy, but in your relationships and everyday life.

She Rose Anyway

She Rose Anyway is a poetry collection that traces the journey from breaking to becoming, moving through themes of heartbreak, loss, healing, and quiet transformation. Rather than framing grief as an ending, the collection presents it as a threshold into deeper awareness, where identity is reshaped through endurance and reflection. Across each piece, there is a steady progression from fragmentation to integration, capturing both the ache of what was lost and the resilience required to continue forward. Ultimately, She Rose Anyway is about the quiet strength found and the way transformation can reveal a more grounded, authentic self.
