Luke Rudy CRNP, PMHNP-BC

Luke Rudy, RN, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a compassionate and dedicated psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a diverse clinical background spanning critical care, cardiology, and psychiatric mental health. He brings a unique perspective to mental health care, combining extensive nursing experience with advanced specialized training in psychiatric assessment, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based behavioral health treatment.

Luke earned his Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Wilkes University and completed advanced clinical training in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings. During his PMHNP training, he provided care for individuals experiencing a broad range of mental health concerns, with experience in psychiatric evaluations, medication management, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, psychoeducation, and group therapy modalities.

Prior to specializing in psychiatric mental health, Luke developed a strong foundation in complex patient care through years of experience as a registered nurse in surgical and trauma intensive care settings, as well as cardiac imaging and outpatient care. This background strengthened his clinical assessment skills, ability to manage complex medical and psychiatric needs, and commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care.

Luke has a particular interest in the treatment of anxiety, mood, and trauma-related disorders and approaches mental health care with empathy, curiosity, and respect for each individual's unique experiences and goals. He believes effective psychiatric care involves more than addressing symptoms—it means understanding the whole person and developing a collaborative treatment plan that supports long-term wellness and meaningful recovery.

Luke is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care. His approach integrates evidence-based psychiatric treatment with therapeutic communication and a strong emphasis on patient education, empowerment, and continuity of care.
