Christy Altomare holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and approaches therapy through a compassionate, trauma-informed lens. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and empathetic environment where clients feel heard, valued, and understood, especially in the context of trauma work.

Christy is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based approach that helps clients process difficult and traumatic experiences, reduce emotional distress, and develop healthier coping strategies. She has a particular interest in supporting individuals navigating perinatal mental health, infertility, grief, and loss, as well as clients experiencing anxiety, depression, sleep issues, OCD, mood-related concerns, and personality disorders.

Christy takes a client-centered, trauma-informed approach that honors each person’s unique story, experiences, and pace in therapy. She integrates strengths-based principles to help clients build insight, self-compassion, emotional regulation, and resilience. Her approach is supportive and individualized, with the goal of helping clients better understand themselves, work through difficult experiences, and develop practical tools for lasting emotional growth.

Christy welcomes clients experiencing a range of mental health concerns and is committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment.
