Meet Christina Matangos, MA, LPC
I offer a warm, welcoming space for individuals who are seeking meaningful change and a deeper understanding of themselves. I approach therapy with genuine curiosity and compassion, listening closely to each person’s experiences before gently introducing skills and strategies that can help them feel more grounded and capable in daily life.
My work is rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I regularly facilitate DBT skills groups that focus on emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthier communication. I aim to help clients feel seen, understood, and supported as they explore new ways of navigating difficult emotions and life challenges.
I work with individuals who are coping with:
Anxiety, fear, and chronic stress
Depression and mood-related concerns
Emotional dysregulation or feeling “overwhelmed” by emotions
Trauma-related symptoms
Relationship and communication difficulties
Intense or rapidly shifting emotions
Major life transitions or identity shifts
Challenges with boundaries, self-worth, and self-esteem
My approach includes:
Individual therapy
DBT-informed skills training (both individual and group)
Licensed in Pennsylvania, I assist clients in developing coping skills and strategies that help them build emotional stability and make sustainable, meaningful changes in their everyday lives.
